Zior was formed in the late 60s by a quartet of local R&B scene veterans in England's Southend: Keith Bonsor (voc, org, b, fl), John Truba (g, voc), Barry Skeels (b, voc) and Peter Brewer (dr, perc, p, harp). Fairly known as a wild live band they were heavily into Black Magic and Satanic Mass. Together with their occult-themed heavy psych, blues rock, Zior was a part of the British underground scene.
Every Inch A Man was released after two albums (the second under the moniker of „The Monument“) in 1973. The tracks were just a demo for a second Zior album, recorded two years before. It appeared in Germany only on the Intercord label in 1973 without the band's knowledge. They finally disbanded in the course of the year. Not recognised at all at the time, this proto-metal album is now a highly sought-after rarity.
