In the late 1970 New Zealand's legendary Underdogs recorded their second LP, released by UK label Pye Records. Not only their line-up changed by the time of this album, also their UK flavoured blues rock music get heavier and more psychedelic, influenced by Cream and Hendrix. Harvey Mann (g, voc) and Neil Edwards (b) from the original Underdogs got together with Glen 'Pig' Absolum on drums - hence the band's nickname Pig, Mann & Edwards. This power trio played like the blues/hard styles of the British scene, but also has a personality all of its own, perhaps because the whole thing was made in faraway Auckland.
Unfortunately, they disbanded immediately after the release of this album, which is now as a New Zealand original one of the most sought-after LPs with its psychedelic blues rock.
