The legendary Spanish power-trio Tapiman was founded in Barcelona in early 1971. After few changes, this line-up became established: Joaquim „Max“ Sunyer (g), Pepe Fernández (b) and José María Vilaseca „Tapi“ (dr). With Sunyer, Spain's first „guitar hero“, and his amazing guitar playing, they were one of the pioneers of hard rock in Spain. They released their eponymous debut in 1971, which is considered as an excellent heavy rock album with psychedelic and progressive references. After this little-noticed album, the band released another one in 1979 and then finally broke up.
Nowadays almost impossible to find original pressings on the Spanish label from Catalonia Edigsa, they are traded among collectors as a monster rarity for big money.
