Organisation was an experimental band from Düsseldorf who mainly performed in the art scene, galleries and universities. It was founded in the late 60s by Florian Schneider (fl, violin), Ralf Hütter (org), Butch Hauf (b), Fred Monicks (dr, perc) and Basil Hammoudi (perc). They played free avant-garde music with a wide variety of abstract sounds, noises, flute sounds, drums, percussion and organ chords. Allegedly more or less by chance, demo recordings ended up with the major label RCA in London, which released the album Tone-Float in 1970. At this time, however, the band no longer existed, so it was their only release.
Sales were poor, so the record company was no longer interested. This rare LP would probably have disappeared completely into oblivion if Florian Schneider and Ralf Hütter hadn't founded the world-famous Kraftwerk afterwards. This makes it extremely sought-after and incredibly high sums are paid for the rare English originals.
