Mouse was another band project by legendary UK prog-fusion and session guitarist Ray Russell (after Rock Workshop and Running Man). Together with Alan Clare (keyb, voc), Jeff Watts (b), Alan Rushton (dr) they recorded their one and only album in 1973, released by Sovereign label, a short-lived EMI subsidiary. However, the versatile mix of hard-rock with prog and psych elements as well as pop and glam did not convince the audience. After this failure, the band split up and Ray Russell returned to his work as a successful session guitarist.
The only album of this short-lived band formation has now achieved a certain cult status and is sought after by collectors worldwide.
