Kahvas Jute were a short-lived hard psychedelic rock Australia outfit, who recorded their one and only album on the Infinity label in 1971. Led by Australian guitar legends Dennis Wilson and Tim Gaze (Tamam Shud), they earned an immediate reputation on the live scene, because of their twin lead guitar attacks. Completed by bassist Bob Daisley (later Rainbow, Ozzy Osbourne, Gary Moore, Uriah Heep...) and Dannie Davidson on drums (Tamam Shud), they played heavy psychedelic rock with some progressive elements.
Their sole album, recorded and mixed in just three days only, was sold poorly and has become highly collectable worldwide today.
