Jethro Tull was formed in Blackpool, Lancashire, England by Mick Abrahams (g, voc), Glenn Cornick (b), Clive Bunker (dr) and Ian Anderson (fl, harp, wind, p, voc) in 1967. In the flow of the immense popularity for blues rock they released their debut album in 1968 as a typical product of its time. It is the only LP with original guitarist Mick Abrahams, who also contributed songwriting and vocals for it. The presence of a flute and extended blues structures, which included folk and traditional elements as well as jazz, distinguished the group. After the departure of Abrahams, the blues also disappeared, the rest is music history.
A tiny part of the German first edition included a huge poster, which makes it an extremely rare collector's item.
