Ufo is the landmark debut album by Guru Guru, recorded and released on the Ohr label in 1970. Mani Neumeier (dr), Uli Trepte (b) and Ax Genrich (g), together with Julius Schittenhelm as producer, created a timeless Krautrock classic. This groundbreaking psychedelic journey is a highly experimental amalgam of different styles like psychedelic and progressive rock, avantgarde, free jazz and musique concrète. The three musicians used a wide range of instruments and electronics for this cosmic whirlwind. The overwhelming critical praise led to the album selling reasonably well.
