Formed in Dublin in 1967 by Tim Booth (voc, g), Ivan Pawle (b, keyb) and multi-instrumentalist Tim Goulding, this experimental Irish folk group recorded their first LP Kip Of The Serenes in London in one and a half days in 1969. Produced by Joe Boyd, who managed and produced also the Incredible String Band, the album shows an eccentric enthusiastic hippy vibe with an array of acoustic folk instruments including guitars, whistles, fiddles, harmonium and mandolin.
Deleted relatively soon after release this acid folk classic is without doubt one of the rarest pink label Island albums of all.
