The British four-piece heavy prog band Czar recorded their sole album in 1969/70, which took more than a year. Finally released in May 1970 it was promoted poorly and sank without a trace. Bob Hodges (keyb, voc), Mick Ware (g, voc), Paul Kendrick (b, voc) and Derrick Gough (dr) played an organ and mellotron driven early 70s UK underground prog with some heavy lead guitar here and there. Although they toured a lot, a second album didn’t materialize, so they disbanded in early 1972. Their legendary only LP is now really valuable and a rare collector's item as an original first press on Fontana.
