Supernatural Fairy Tales is the sole album of the band Art from Carlisle, Cumberland (Northwest UK), who was known earlier as The V.I.P.'s. Released in mono only in December 1967 on Island Records this LP may even be one of the earliest examples of true British Rock. After the release the band broke up in 67 and together with the American musician Gary Wright, Spooky Tooth was born.
Heavy riffs, psychedelic and pre-progressive elements together with some pop touches make this album a killer. Hard to understand why it is still overlooked until present.
A must for every psych rock collector and ridiculous rare as first UK Mono press with „orange and black eye“ on Pink Island label.
