After two unsuccessful albums (Arktis and Arktis Tapes) and the split in 1975 Karin Töppig (voc) and Harry Kottek (dr) decided to continue with new guys. Together with Manni Dick (g), Axel Maurer (keyb) and Bernd Kolf (b) they recorded the third Arktis LP On The Rocks in 1976. It was again self-published, this time in a tiny edition of 250 copies only. It is less psychedelic but more towards mainstream heavy rock with hard edged guitars and female vocals.
With this LP, the group went down even worse than with the first two: it was completely lost. Only a few of the already small number of copies had been sold. The rest vanished completely into private collections.
