Zora is the first album of the Italian band Antonius Rex, who was known earlier as Jacula. Led by Antonio Bartoccetti (g, voc) and his wife Doris Norton (keyb, voc), supported by UK drummer Albert Goodman this legendary occult prog album was released on the tiny Milan Tickle label. It shows progressive rock with church organ, dark and sinister atmospheres and lyrics dealing with occultism. After several vain attempts it was the first real commercial output in 1977.
The 1978 reissue houses in a different, less outrageous cover and contains one bonus track. Original pressings with the startling „nude witch“ cover from Italian illustrator Emanuele Taglietti in small edition are scarce and expensive.
