Black Spirit was a bluesy hard-rock band founded by four Italian factory employees in German VW city Wolfsburg in 1970. After touring in pubs and discos with Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin material they later began to write own songs. With their earthy heavy blues rock they supported successfully live acts like Nektar, Eloy and the early Scorpions. In 1973 they decided to record a tape, just as a demo for developing further ideas. Their sound engineer Johnny Pesce left the group and took the tapes with him without telling the band. They also didn't know about the release of an LP in 1978 made from these demo recordings! The band split in the same year.
This super rare first and only album on the legendary Brutkasten label was pressed in 1500 copies only. Besides Carol Of Harvest and P2O5 it is now the most sought-after LP on the collector favoured private Nuremberg label.
