The short-lived British band from Cheltenham with the bizarre name 9.30 Fly consisted of Michael Wainwright (voc), Barbara Wainwright (voc, p, keyb), Lynn Oakey (g), Gary Charman (b) and Mike Clark (dr). In 1972, the quintet recorded an eponymous folk-rock album with a psychedelic and progressive touch on the little UK label Ember at the Rockfield Studios in Monmouth, Wales. All the songs are dominated from the harmony of the voices of Michael and his 18 years old wife Barbara Wainwright. In November 1972 the group even served as an opening act for Velvet Underground in Malver Winter Gardens. Shortly after this gig the Fly vanished without any trace.
This record on the highly collectable Ember label is nowadays a difficult to find rarity.
