Axel Einarsson (g, voc) and Ásgeir Óskarsson (dr, voc) founded Icecross at the beginning of 1972, which was then joined by Ómar Óskarsson (b, voc). They played heavy blues rock, which wasn't everyone's cup of tea in Iceland. So the members decided to go to Denmark to try their chances there. After several gigs they recorded their debut album in Rosenberg Studio Copenhagen in 1972. It is now considered as one of the heaviest hard rock albums from the '70s.
Only released in Iceland in an edition of just 1000 copies in 1973 it received decent reviews, but otherwise didn't attract much attention. A short time later the same year, the band broke up. This early metal masterpiece with it's unique and dark sound has now a legendary status among collectors world-wide.
